Downstate Ripper annual organization social will be held Sunday, Sept 13, 2009 at the Ray Fosse Park in Marion, IL, at 4:00pm.  Cupcakes & Cookies will be provided.  Coaches Choice will be on site with Downstate Rippers merchandise.

Downstate Rippers Black 16U looking for two outfielders and a pitcher for the 2009-2010 season.  For a select tryout, please call Brett Montgomery at 618-925-3487.  Must have a great bat along with varsity playing experience.  '93 birthdate preferred.

Congratulations to the 10U team for their 1st place finish at the July Sizzler in Benton, KY. Great job ladies!

Congratulations to the 14U Black team for their 2nd place finish at the MO/IL NSA Braggin Rights tournament. The 14U Black team started the championship game at 10:29 PM Sunday evening due to rain delays and scheduling problems. Out of the 21 team field, their only losses came from a very good hitting Matton Pride team. Great job ladies and thanks for hanging in there all weekend !!!!

Congratulations to the 12U '95 Black team for their 1st place finish in the USGF TN State Tournament the weekend of 7/11/2008! The team finished bracket play undefeated to win the tournament. Great job ladies!

Congratulations to Sarah DaRosa and Jacqueline McGill from the 16U Red team for being invited to play for a junior USA team next summer in Argentina. We are very proud of these ladies and their chance to represent the Rippers Organization and the USA! Local John A. Logan coach Angie Jilek will be coaching the team.

Congratulations to the 12U '95 Black team for their 1st place finish in the Rumble by the River tournament in Cape Girardeau, MO the weekend of 5/30/2008! The team finished pool and bracket play with a perfect 5-0 record. Great job ladies!

Congratulations to the 12U '96 Red team for their 1st place finish in the St. Louis USSSA World Series Qualifier the weekend of 4/18/2008! The 1st place finish gives the 12U '96 Red team an automatic berth to play in the USSSA 12U World Series in Kissimmee, FL in July. The team finished pool and bracket play with a perfect 4-0 record and did not give up a single run the entire tournament. Great job ladies!
